1. private member association
all placements are conducted within our private member association according to the member agreement. to enter into placement, the family offers a one-time $1 lifetime member due, credited toward their puppy reservation dues.
2. puppy reservation dues
puppy reservation dues secure the chosen puppy until final placement dues are completed. reservation dues are part of the total placement dues.
3. final placement dues
final placement dues (the remaining contribution) are offered before the puppy goes home. once completed, the placement is finalized.
4. our commitment to care & promise of health
we stand behind every puppy we place, raising them to the highest standards of health, socialization, and care — free from outside mandates or policies that could limit how we serve our families.
we give our promise of health that your puppy is free from known genetic defects for the first twelve months from their date of birth.
if, within that first twelve months, a licensed veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with any serious eye defect, hip dysplasia, or other inheritable congenital genetic defect that would prevent the puppy from enjoying a reasonable and normal life, we will provide a comparable puppy from our next available litter. no contributions or dues will be returned under any circumstances.
any claim of a genetic defect must be accompanied by written documentation from a licensed veterinarian within forty-eight (48) hours of testing.
this promise of health does not include external or internal parasites (such as ticks, tick-borne diseases, worms, coccidia, etc.).
the family agrees to keep their puppy at a healthy weight and in good condition. allowing the puppy to become overweight, or evidence of joint wear from long-distance running before growth plates close, will void the portion of this promise relating to hip dysplasia.
to protect developing bones and joints, high-impact activities such as jumping or agility work should not be introduced until after the puppy is at least one year old.
extended promise:
due to the varying foods and environmental conditions puppies may encounter, and because immune systems take time to mature, we highly recommend feeding tlc whole life dog food and supplementing with nuvet plus immune system builder according to the manufacturer’s daily recommended dosage.
if the family follows this recommendation for the entire first year, the promise of health will be extended for an additional one year (two years total). documentation of supplement use must be available upon request for the extension to remain valid.
before fulfilling any promise of health, the breeder may request a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choice, except in the case of official ofa hip evaluations or cerf eye exam results.
5. socialization & training
the family agrees to properly socialize the puppy, exposing them to various situations and environments to promote a sound temperament. the first two years are especially important.
we recommend puppy kindergarten and/or obedience school to build confidence, manners, and leadership structure for your pup.
6. spay/neuter
this puppy is placed as a companion. the family agrees to spay or neuter no later than 12 months of age.
if registered, the dog will receive limited registration (no breeding rights).
proof of spay/neuter must be provided before registration papers are granted.
if the family chooses not to spay/neuter within the agreed time, this placement agreement will no longer be in effect within our private member association.
7. size
we cannot guarantee size, but we can provide the sizes of the sire and dam. genetics can vary, and the puppy may grow larger or smaller than expected.
8. safe care
never give this puppy ivermectin or products containing ivermectin, as australian shepherds can be sensitive to this medication.
9. rehoming
if you ever feel it necessary to give up your puppy or dog and need help finding a home for them, please contact us.
if at any time in the life of the dog you are unable to keep them, we, the breeder, will work with you to find a suitable new home.
any contributions or dues offered toward the placement of your puppy will remain with the breeder for the continued care, health, and well-being of our dogs.
there is no reason that any blue buckaroo puppy should ever end up in a pound or rescue situation.
ownership reality check – initial required
this puppy is a lifelong commitment — not an impulse decision, a trial period, or a returnable item. dogs require patience, structure, and personal growth from their owners. hard days, training struggles, emotional overwhelm, or lifestyle inconvenience are not valid reasons to walk away from the responsibility you are choosing today.
by initialing below, purchaser acknowledges that they are committing to this dog through both the rewarding seasons and the challenging ones. success with a dog comes from leadership, learning, and consistent effort — not perfection. purchaser agrees to seek education, professional training support, and practical solutions before considering rehoming.
purchaser expressly agrees that under no circumstances will a Blue Buckaroo Aussies puppy/dog be surrendered, transferred, or released to any animal shelter, rescue, humane society, or third party without prior written consent from Breeder. Breeder must always be contacted first and given the opportunity to assist with placement.
if behavioral issues are claimed, Purchaser understands that documentation from two qualified professional trainers will be required, confirming the concern and outlining the steps already taken to resolve it.
this is a commitment to a living being — not a product.
